Lusilda Schutte
Lusilda Schutte holds a Doctoral degree in Psychology and a Masters degree in Statistics. She is employed by Africa Unit for Transdisciplinary Health Research (AUTHeR) of the North-West University in South Africa, where she coordinates the research component of the MAPP programme and is the programme leader of the PhD in Health Sciences with Positive Psychology. She conducts research in the field of positive psychology where she has a specific interest in the cross-cultural understanding and measurement of psychosocial well-being. Lusilda chaired the first Africa Positive Psychology Conference in 2018 and has been invited as guest lecturer to the University of Rijeka, Croatia. Research production includes papers in peer-reviewed journals, conference presentations and supervision of postgraduate students. Lusilda is also a practicing registered Clinical Psychologist. She previously lectured Statistics and worked as a Statistical Consultant at the North-West University and as a Clinical Psychologist at Witrand Hospital, a government-funded psychiatric hospital in South Africa.
