Positive Psychology’s founder Dr. Martin Seligman has mentioned that by 2051, we will aim to have 51% of human population flourishing, with one-fifth of the world’s population, China also plays an important part of achieving the 2051 goal. During the last decade, Positive Psychology has been widely used in many different areas in China, especially in the area of education. The popularity of Positive Education attributes to not only the traditional Chinese philosophies, but also the fact that the Chinese education system has come to a time that requires a paradigm shift. Positive education appears to be the right antidote for the dilemma. It focuses on both well-being and academic learning, which facilitates each other as predicted by research and proven by positive education practices in China.
