Susan L. Miller

Dr Susan Miller, PhD, is a registered Clinical and Counselling Psychologist, Fellow of the Clinical & Counselling Colleges of the Australian Psychological Society and Co-Director of The Melbourne Counselling & Psychology Centre in Australia. She has presented in Australia, Asia and Europe and taught in Masters in Counselling programs in Melbourne, Hong Kong and Singapore. Susan has worked as a clinician, clinical supervisor and trainer for more than 25 years. Susan was Victorian State Co-ordinator of the Juries Commissioner’s Debriefing program for more than a decade. She has worked as a consultant psychologist to the Victims Advisory Unit within the Dept of Justice in Melbourne and as a psychological advisor to the Australian Federal Police. She has provided critical incident debriefing and consultation following incidents of mass violence and terrorist attack in Australia and Indonesia. Susan operates a private practice in Melbourne in which she consults to a range of client groups including survivors of trauma. She also provides professional supervision and training for counsellors and psychologists. Susan has a particular interest in the application of narrative solution-focused therapies for trauma and traumatic loss and the the well-being of practitioners working in this area.
