Kirankumar Salagame
Prof. Kiran Kumar K. Salagame, Ph.D., a Clinical Psychologist by training, was a Faculty in the University of Mysore, India. He was a Senior Research Fellow of the Indian Council of Social Sciences Research, Fulbright-Nehru Visiting Professor at the University of Central Arkansas, Conway, USA and Fulbright Post-Doctoral Fellow at Saybrook Graduate School in San Francisco. He was honored by the Indian Association of Clinical Psychologists for his distinguished contributions to the field of psychology with Psycho-Award. Currently, he is the Vice-President of International Transpersonal Association, the USA, and an Honorary Professor, International Academy for Yoga Teacher Training, and Member, Scientific Board, International Society for Interdisciplinary Yoga Research, Belgrade, Serbia. Articulating and relating Indian psychological concepts to mainstream psychology has been the primary focus in his publications on - health and well-being, meditation & Yoga, positive psychology, self and identity, states of consciousness. He has authored the book “Psychology of Meditation: A contextual approach” and has also developed a semi-projective tool to assess social cognition in children. He has been on the Editorial Boards of many national and international journals. He has visited Bahrain, Canada, Czech Republic, Russia, Serbia, Uganda, UK and USA presenting papers/ conducting workshops/ lecturing.
