Ken Schainman
I am the new Executive Director of the American Positive Education Network (APEN), affiliated with the International Positive Education Network, (IPEN). APEN's mission is to build awareness of, and demand for, Positive Education.
Prior to APEN, I spent 15 years as the owner/Director of Mohawk Day Camp, one of the largest private summer camps in the US with well over 1000 children ages 3-13 and 500 staff. Mohawk also became the first Positive Psychology-focused camp in America, and remains a leader in integrating Positive Psychology, character development, and experiential education. Prior to camp, I founded or co-founded three companies, and was a business strategy consultant.
I have a Masters in Applied Positive Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania, and an BA and MBA from Duke University.
