Objective: Find the existing relationship of the engagement and the work stress with the well-being of 1264 workers of the manufacturing industry in the Zona Metropolitana de Guadalajara. Method: The selection of the sample was for convenience and it was conformed by 1264 participants of which 35% are women and 64.8% are men (0.2% did not identify themselves). Results: About the well-being levels of the workers, were found differences by gender, having a better well-being the men, and in the case of the work-stress, men workers as women workers have a mean level. About the engagement, the most of the men have a very high level, while women have a mean level. It was found a moderate positive correlation between the well-being and the engagement, and a very low positive correlation between the well-being and the work stress, as well as between it and the engagement. Conclusions: Well-being does not depend entirely on the working environment of people, however, it is an important part of their personal development, and a fertile field that if it is positively intervened can influence their general health.
