What if your job was to run towards trauma, rather than away from it?
After nearly ten years of masters and doctorate research into positive psychology, resilience and posttraumatic growth, the psychological training company, Inner Armour has developed a 3 day training method for two of the major Police Forces in the United Kingdom which trains individual officers to be able to “Quarantine” the trauma they witness daily at a peer-to-peer level.
Officers are able to use cutting edge knowledge of positive psychology theory, specific positive psychology interventions, positive psychology coaching and teacher training honed over 15 years in tough inner city schools.
Using four academic measures Inner Armour has proved that this method is showing positive, long term increases in resilience and posttraumatic growth. Results also show a marked decrease in the depression and anxiety officers present with. The results are phenomenally positive and this method has been deemed as essential thinking that officers "wear" underneath their body armour.
Inner Armour will present the results and explain the method.
