The aim of the present study is to explore the impact of a Positive Coaching Leadership Intervention Program on Well-being and Job Performance. Two different controlled studies were held. In Study 1, 41 executives and middle managers in an automotive sector company from Spain, received a pre-evaluation 360-degree feedback, a Leader-as a-Coach training team workshop (5 sessions of 3 hours each, one per week) and 3 individual micro-coaching sessions over a period of three months. In Study 2, we replicated this results in a different organization with 9 nuns in a service sector company from Spain and then not only coach but also other positive leadership styles were trained (Transformational, Authentic, Positive and Coach Leadership) In both studies, participants were divided into Experimental group (EX) and Control-Waiting List (WL) group. Results were mixed and successful in increasing all the study variables (Leader-as-Coach skills, Work Engagement and Job Performance) compared to the WL in Study 1. In Study 2, results indicated that self-reported Transformational Leadership, Authentic Leadership, Coach Leadership and Psychological Capital levels increased significantly from Pre to Post times. Practical implications of the study suggest the need of more replication studies on positive psychological interventions in leadership skills.
