In the United Arab Emirates (UAE), the evolution in education began on 1971 when the federation of the UAE was announced and the Ministry of Education was set up. Education in the UAE is generally based on an educational system, which conforms to the world’s best educational standards. The UAE national agenda goal 2021 has been the most significant component of the reform efforts in the UAE. The government of the United Arab Emirates believes that the achievement of happiness is a fundamental human goal and aspiration for all its people. According to the UAE government, happiness represents a holistic approach for development, wellbeing and prosperity, and it is a true path towards a better world. For example, since 2012 Dubai schools have focused on positive education through the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) led initiatives. Among these initiatives, there was a 100 Days of Positivity campaign that aims to promote existing positive education practices and to integrate wellbeing across the curricula.
