Using ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) model which is an Instructional Systems Design (ISD) is helpful to build an effective Well-Being (WB) training for adolescents. Analyzing WB of Adolescents as the first phase of this model is advantageous to design and develop a WB curriculum.
Aim: To Analyze WB of Iranian Adolescents, a two year research project was done. The aim of present study which is a part of the project was to investigate emotional perception and subjective WB of adolescents.
Method: 1095 adolescents (591 girls, 504 boys) were completed a six point Likert questionnaire about perceived emotions and managing emotions as well as EPOCH measure of adolescent Well-being (Kern, et al., 2015), Multidimensional Students Life Satisfaction Scale (Huebner‚ 1994) and Psychological Capital Questionnaire (Luthans, et al., 2007). Descriptive and inferential statistics were used to analyze adolescents’ emotions.
Results: Findings explored an emotional profile of Iranian adolescents. Emotional WB of adolescents was significantly different based on gender, structure of the family, and age. Stepwise regressions predicted the variance in unpleasant emotions to happiness, family satisfaction, self-efficacy, and connectedness.
Conclusions: The analysis phase provides various valuable information to design a well-being program in order to promote it in adolescents.
