Starlight understands the value of a highly engaged and collaborative team. Engaged employees are proud advocates, inspired and motivated to do their best. Research demonstrates that they are more innovative and productive, customer focused, healthier, more likely to stay, and achieve great results. The increasing evidence highlighting the link between wellbeing and engagement in driving high performance has underpinned Starlight’s focus on embedding its internal people practices in the science and practical application of positive psychology. The Positivity@Starlight program is designed to equip team members with the knowledge and skills to be at their best; at work, at home, and in their communities. This presentation will outline the research used to support team members to be at their best, to grow and develop in their areas of strengths; to pursue meaningful performance and development goals, to work collaboratively and to adopt a growth mindset. It will discuss the evaluation of the Positivity@Starlight program and showcase some of the external recognition (such as Great Place to Work, and Employer of Choice in The Australian Business Awards) that has been a result of the program’s implementation.
